W35 - Ready Mix

In 1952, Frank and Henry Hustedde saw the need for a ready-mix concrete plant in Breese.  They teamed up with Jack Heimann and Paul Netemeyer.  These two men were owners of Aviston Lumber Company. Together, the four men formed Clinton County Ready Mix.  A small used batch plant was purchased and installed at the Hustedde and Sons facility.  A 1952 International truck with a four cubic yard Jaeger Mixer was purchased to deliver concrete.

More information on this business as well as other business and more can be found in the 2006 Breese Sesquicentennial Pictorial History book.  Copies are available from the Breese Historical Society
