Mexican American Hat Company
Mexican American Hat Company - 1101
North Fourth Street The business was a result of activity by
the Breese Chamber of Commerce, from which the Breese
Building Corporation was born. With great foresight, they
erected a factory building.
Following the arrival of the factory equipment a few
families accompanied the industry to Breese. Among them were
the Springmeyer family, Nic Lete and Jack Costillo families
and Mrs. Allejandro Delgatto who moved here in 1932. Many of
the factory's products were shipped by rail from the Breese
Depot.
