The B.H. Donne Mercantile Company served as a dry goods and grocery store for 36 years. Christ Niebur purchased the property in 1919 and operated a hardware store for many years. In March, 1953, he turned his business over to his two sons, Henry and George. In 1974, the property was sold to the State Bank of Breese and a new bank building was erected here. This is the same building that is shown in B-2, except here it wasn’t added on yet, and doesn’t have Niebur name on the side of the building.
