Niebur Hardware Street 189 North Cherry Street Christ Niebur started a business here as a blacksmith in 1895. In 1896 he added the sale of implements to his business and in 1903 harnesses were included. In 1919 he purchased the Benjamin H. Donne Mercantile Company property on the Southeast corner of North Clinton Street and North Second Street and moved his business there.

Later, George Weisenfeld operated a blacksmith shop in this building.
