We know the mural says Looking Southwest, it's wrong. The scene is actually looking southeast. 

The story behind this picture was that a child had drown in the culvert seen in the foreground.  We do not know who this child was but the scenery tells of the history of this small viewing area.. In the top left of the picture you can see the lumber yard that once stood there.  Also St Dominic Church and School stand out as well as St Joseph’s Hospital.  Also there are a few houses just north of St. Dominic’s school.  Notice too that the photographer’s reflection in the left bottom of the picture.  Does anyone know why the photographer is standing in front of the camera and why does camera seem to be facing the opposite way?  Also this picture should have read “looking Southeast” not Southwest.
