Yes, it's Breese, but there wasn't much of it at the time the picture was taken. St. Dominic Church was completed in 1869 and it appears work is still being done on the church.
The scene is looking west on North Second Street from Main Street, but there was no Post Office, bank building, theatre. drug store, hardware store or any of the other buildings that are now on this street. The building on the left side of the photo is where Kozy Korner now stands.
